Carolina Gloves Championship Belt Boxing Tournament Welcomes Over 300 Boxers to Fayetteville/Cumberland County Area

Fayetteville, North Carolina - Fayetteville/Cumberland County welcomes the Carolina Gloves Championship Belt Boxing Tournament for the second year.  Spectators will have a chance to attend a live event that starts on Friday, February 25, at Freedom Courts Sports Complex.  In addition, this event will be streaming live from all three rings each day.

“I have never been more excited to bring this event back to Fayetteville for the second year,” said Patrick Finklin, President of North Carolina’s Amateur Boxing. “We have increased the number of registrations by 100 this year, so, with that number, you can expect nearly 600 visitors, including boxers, their coaches, and families, to hit Fayetteville that weekend.”

The amateur boxing event is open to men, women, and juniors, with approximately 350 fighters worldwide participating this year. The event is for beginners and will showcase some of the U.S. Top 10 boxers with an age range from 8 years old to the age of 65.

“Event organizers have confirmed registrations from Canada and Puerto Rico for this year’s event, making this a big win for our community,” states Randy Fiveash, Interim President and CEO for the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitor’s Bureau.  “Being able to showcase Fayetteville and Cumberland County to the participants and the visitors from many surrounding states supports our goal to increase the economic health of our area by bringing in sporting events like this.”
