Mallett Rogers House Mallett Rogers House - Built about 1830 and restored in 1986, it features exhibits, paintings, sculpture and mixed-media works by Methodist University art faculty and students.  It was originally built for Charles Peter Mallet, a textile mill owner whose father served in the Revolutionary War and acquired the property as early as 1767.

The Arts Center The Arts Center -

Formerly the old site of a United States Post Office and a public library, this building now houses the Arts Council.  The Arts Council Galleries feature local and regional artists.  The group hosts numerous free art events for the community and visitors alike such as monthly Fourth Friday & Market Days events, the annual International Folk Festival in September, A Dickens Holiday during the holiday season, and other visual art exhibitions.

Art Museums

Fayetteville Museum of Art Fayetteville Museum of Art -

The Museum was founded in 1971.  Originally housed in downtown Fayetteville's historic Market House, the Museum moved in 1978 to its present facility that was the first building in the State of North Carolina designed and built as an Art Museum.  It offers a variety of world-class art exhibits as well as concerts, workshops, and special events.  The modern facility includes two galleries, classrooms, studio space, an art reference library, a museum store, and 5.8 acre grounds and pond that provide a wonderful place to gather and relax.

Performances

Campbelton Landing Campbellton Landing -

This modern-day entertainment venue is located on the east bank of the Cape Fear River and is named after the old ferry landing at Campbelton village. Campbelton was the first settlement in the area, incorporated in 1762 and located on the west bank of the river. It wasn't until 1819 that the first bridge crossing the river was constructed to bring people over to the east bank. Campbellton Landing is the site of some of the best-kept Confederate breastworks.  An array of events for all ages are now hosted at this historic site.

The Crown Center - Concerts, sporting events, family shows and theater productions are offered year-round. It includes a 13,500-seat Crown Coliseum, 60,000 sq.ft. Expo Center, 11,200 sq.ft. Pre-function Area and Ballroom, 5,300-seat Arena and a 2,430-seat Auditorium.

Cape Fear Regional Theatre Cape Fear Regional Theatre - Delighting audience with elaborate musicals, classic dramas and comedies, off-Broadway productions and children's favorites. Presents an annual series of plays, performance and special events that entertain, enlighten, inspire, and educate both performers and audiences.  Offers behind the scenes tours, call ahead for arrangements.

Gilbert Theater - A non-profit theater with a volunteer staff dedicated to providing contemporary, socially relevant, and entertaining theater as well as the classics, and original works by local playwrights. The Gilbert Theater is named in honor of the Marquis de Lafayette. They hold excellent community theatre productions, which include an array of challenging, contemporary dramas, comedies, and the occasional musical.
