Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday Celebrations
Martin Luther King, Jr. was many things in his lifetime. A clergyman. An activist. A Nobel Peace Prize winner. A prominent leader in the fight against Civil Rights in our country. We all know who he is, as it’s no wonder that he is a national icon in the United States. Every year on the third Monday of January, we recognize this legend and the advancements that he helped make for our country.
Fayetteville is no different in celebrating this man and what he has done. A number of organizations around Cumberland County take part in honoring Martin Luther King, Jr. If you can, please take the time to attend one of these events.
