9th Annual Ole Mill Days and Chili Cook Off
An old fashioned celebration of Hope Mills history! Vendors with crafts, homemade fudge, music, storytelling, rides for kids, costume contest, celebrate pride in Hope Mills.
Also, Chili Cook Off 2010, will be held at the Municipal Park. Bring your 2 quart Crock Pot full of your best chili, by 10am. Chili will be sampled (Sample all entries for $5.00) throughout the day and judged by a panel of judges or just have a bowl of chili of your choice for $4.00. There are two divisions: HOT & MILD. There will be three awards in each of the two division and CASH Prizes.
Silver Spoon Award $100
Wood Spoon Award $50
Plastic Spoon Award $25
There is also a "People's Choice Award" given to the person who make the chili that has the most votes at the time of judging. This award is $100!
Funds raised for this event keep the chamber going to better serve their members. Once again the Hope Mills Area Chamber of Commerce is partnering with WKML and expect a large crowd.
