4th Friday is a true celebration of the arts and downtown. Folks of all ages get a taste of Fayetteville's art and entertainment while enjoying the small galleries, bookstores, bistros and shops with unique items for shoppers. It’s safe, it's fun ... and it's free!
Start spring weekends with a Friday concert from 6:30p.m. to 8:30p.m. We've lined up four of bands featuring a variety of music! Enjoy the ambience of an intimate outdoor natural setting as music fills the evening sky. Bring your blanket or lawn chairs. Food and beverage available for purchase from the Cafe Cart (outside food is not permitted in the Garden). Free admission for Garden members.

An Army Ground Forces Band trumpet player, Army Sergeant Curran J. Schenck, will also be on hand to help kick off Fourth Fridayin May with a bugle ceremony involving the playing of “Retreat” and “To the Colors.” The performance will take place at the flag staff in front of the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitor’s Bureau(FACVB) on May 25 at 5:15 p.m., as a simultaneous show of solidarity with Fort Bragg.

Memorial Day Parade runs Spring, Main and Ruth Streets. Ceremony immediately follows the parade.
A patriotic concert and tribute to Fayetteville’s Revolutionary War fifers, Isham Blake and Isaac Hammond. The event is co-sponsored by the Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum and takes place on May 26 at 10 a.m. at the Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry Parade Grounds. Following the concert, docents will offer tours of Cool Spring Tavern and Cross Creek Cemetery.
Memorial Day is a day of rememberance for those that have died in the nation's military service. A special ceremony at Freedom Memorial Park honors those that have paid the supreme sacrifice and the families who lost loved ones.
There will be a Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the VFW at Veteran’s Park in Hope Mills, Monday, May 28, 2012 at 4:00pm.
Light refreshments will be served afterwards at the Rec Center.
This event is FREE & open to the public.
Come out to "The Swamp" and join the fun! The Swamp Dogs are Fayetteville's own Collegiate Summer Baseball league. All games begin at 7:05 PM and are played at J.P. Riddle Stadium. Fun for the entire family!
