From our original settlement in 1739 by Scottish immigrants through the deployment of troops to Afghanistan and Iraq today, it is here the very seeds of American freedom, democracy and patriotism were planted and continue to grow. Our mission is to produce a branded experience with a unified message of History, Heroes & a Hometown Feeling by encouraging networking opportunities for local community members, creating tourism-friendly products and connecting the dots between existing products for incoming visitors, local residents and the military.

5. Cape Fear River Task Force
Our mission is to foster regional economic development and tourism efforts of the navigable Cape Fear River basin through preserving the integrity of the cultural landscape, providing educational and recreational opportunities, and encouraging a collaborative approach to conservation by conducting the necessary steps to receive a National Heritage Corridor Designation.

To plan, design and implement a comprehensive, branded way finding signage system throughout Cumberland County by pulling together the initiatives of the Army Community Heritage Partnership Program, Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Cumberland County Business Council, Downtown Alliance, The Arts Council, Cumberland County Library and all other community interests.
