Eastover Flea Drop
Monday December 31, 2012
The Eastover Community Building
10 p.m. - 12 a.m.
Celebrate the New Year at the Eastover Flea Drop. The Eastover Flea Drop became an annual event because part of the area known as Eastover was once named Flea Hill. The name originated from the story of a flea infestation that was eradicated long ago.
Every New Year's Eve is celebrated with a countdown at midnight with a flea that drops down a numbered pole. This year's event will feature a live band, Kaja Blue playing a mix of jazz, blues and light rock.
The Ladies Auxiliary will be selling cookies and drinks.
Prior to midnight we will have a guest speaker saying a few words about the heritage of Eastover. At midnight we will have our countdown and the flea drop.
