Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex
Tour Times in Description

Join an Arsenal Tour on the grounds of the Museum to learn the historical relevance of this site for the city of Fayetteville. Visitors learn about the free and enslaved black men that worked in the Arsenal, the women who filled ammunition cartridges during its Confederate period, and the soldiers and families who experienced those changing political and social ideals first-hand. Dress comfortably for walking outdoors. Tours last approximately 45 minutes. During inclement weather, interpretive talks about the Arsenal will be given inside the Museum. Tours meet in the Museum lobby.

Tour Times: Every Friday at 10:00 a.m., 12:00 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m.

Join the Airborne and Special Operations Museum Foundation at their Breakfast with the Easter Bunny and Easter Egg Scramble in the Reflection Garden. A pancake and sausage breakfast will be served from 7:30 to 9:30 a.m. The Easter Egg Scramble will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., split up into age groups. Pictures with the Easter Bunny will also be available ($5 - $10 per photo). Make reservations for breakfast at the ASOM gift shop, online, or by phone.

Kick off Spring Break with your family and friends, and celebrate SLO's ribbon cutting at their official Grand Opening!

The City Market at the Museum is a farmers' and crafters' market in the heart of Downtown Fayetteville. The market is operated by the Fayetteville Area Transportation and Local History Museum, and meets on the museum grounds every Saturday morning. Locally grown vegetables, fruit, eggs, honey, and other farm products are offered for sale. These seasonal offerings--along with plants, flowers, coffee, pottery, tea, soap, candles, jewelry, knitted goods, and other handcrafted products--may be purchased. The main market season runs from April through December, but a number of vendors appear year-round.
