Did You Know...
Fayetteville citizens joined together to rebuild their city after two separate calamites: The first was the Great Fire of 1831 that destroyed over 600 buildings. The second occurred during the Civil War when the city found itself in the path of General Sherman’s Union troops. Once again, Fayetteville rose to the challenge to repair the damages to their city and spirit.

Fascinate-U Children's Museum
Fascinate-U Children's Museum Features safe, interactive exhibits, static displays and classroom space.  The hands on displays represent a mini-city where children can explore their world the way they know best- through creative role-playing, manipulation and interaction.  They can operate a store, be on TV, a dress as soldiers, and practice dentistry!  This museum is also the site of Gilbert Theater.  Since being founded in 1994 by Lynn Pryer, Gilbert Theater has provided quality contemporary and classical theatrical production for our diverse community including; children, the elderly, minorities, and the economically disadvantaged while at the same time giving local artists another venue for displaying and producing their unique talents.
