Bureau Renews International Accreditation
Destination Marketing Association International Recognizes Fayetteville Bureau
The Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (FACVB) has renewed its accreditation within the Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP) through 2014. Developed by Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI), the industry-wide accreditation program distinguishes official destination marketing organizations committed to industry excellence.
To become accredited a DMO is required to provide evidence of compliance with 58 mandatory standards and 30 voluntary standards. The standards set by DMAP cover a wide variety of topics including governance, finance, management, human resources, technology, visitor services, group services, sales, communications, membership, brand management, destination development, research/market intelligence, innovation, and stakeholder relationships.
“The renewal of our DMAP accreditation signifies the FACVB’s commitment to the highest industry standards,” says John Meroski, FACVB President and CEO. “We constantly strive to meet or achieve these standards with each of our activities and efforts.”
DMAP is an independent international accreditation body and a leader in defining quality and performance issues in destination marketing. For additional information on DMAP visit www.destinationmarketing.org.
