Cumberland County, NC - Readers of ConventionSouth Magazine selected the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) for a 2017 Readers Choice Award.  “The value in receiving this recognition is that it comes from the United States’ top meeting professionals that hold events in the South,” says J. Talty O’Connor.  “These planners demand the highest level of customer service and quality facilities, and they have contributed in determining the FACVB displays the commitment to professionalism, creativity and service that they require.”

The FACVB is among 300 CVBs, meeting facilities and hotels across the South to receive this recognition. Throughout the year, meeting professionals nominated the meeting sites they believe provide exemplary service for group events. The nominated sites are compiled into an online ballot where meeting professionals are invited to select the best of the best in the meetings industry.  Since its creation in 2001,  this is the third time the FACVB has received this award. Seventeen North Carolina CVBs, hotels and meeting locations were recognized this year.

“We’re honored with this recognition,” says John Meroski, FACVB President and CEO.  “Our sales staff works one-on-one with meeting and event planners to ensure a successful event. It’s no surprise ConventionSouth recognized the level of  excellence the FACVB provides.”
