Bureau Adds Sales Manager

The Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) recently added Sales Manager Stephanie Decatur to their team.

Stephanie secures sports tournaments and fraternal groups to hold their events in Cumberland County.  Stephanie has worked in group sales at hotels, resorts and attractions in the south and northeast for 16 years. Her last position was as Director of Sales, Marketing and Revenue Management  for Hostmark Hospitality Group at two of their Holiday Inn locations.  She has received more than 15 awards for excellence and industry certifications throughout her career.

Cumberland County, NC-  Earlier this month, the Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) was recognized with reaccreditation through DMAI’s Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP). Developed by Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI), the industry-wide accreditation program distinguishes official destination marketing organizations committed to industry excellence and meeting the industry standard for performance and accountability of destination marketing organizations around the world.  The accreditation is good for 8 years.

In 2015/16 Bureau Efforts Generated $8.1 Million Direct Spending in Cumberland County

Cumberland County, NC-- In FY 2015/16, the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (FACVB) secured 86 meetings, sports tournaments, reunions and group visits for future business in Cumberland County.  These bookings represent more than 23,500 room nights at area hotels and a direct economic impact of $8.1 million.  The indirect, rollover impact on our economy is $20.3 million.
