Heroes Homecoming IV Event Honors The Greatest Generation

Fayetteville, NC —October 18, 2016 -- In commemoration of the 75th anniversary of the bombing of Pearl Harbor and the United States entering WWII, Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (FACVB) will host its fourth annual Heroes Homecoming honoring WWII veterans. With an estimated 490 of these brave men and women passing away each day, the celebration taking place throughout Cumberland County November 3-6, will be dedicated to capturing the stories of our WWII veterans, honoring their heroic lives and preserving their legacies for future generations.

Heroes Homecoming IV Vows To Keep the Legacy of WWII Veterans Alive Through New Social Media Campaign

Fayetteville, NC -- October 18, 2016 — This year’s Heroes Homecoming event is dedicated to honoring the heroic lives of World War II veterans and preserving their legacies for future generations. As part of this mission, Heroes Homecoming IV has created Operation Lives Forever,  a campaign and educational program that teach today’s children about the “Greatest Generation” and inspire them to become the torch bearers of these lessons for future generations.  As part of the campaign, students from Cumberland County have created a moving video series to share their mission with other students across the nation.  The full impact of this inspirational campaign will be on display during Fayetteville’s four-day Heroes Homecoming celebration, taking place this November 3-6, 2016.

Bureau Books 18 Groups In First Quarter 2016/17

Cumberland County, NC–  In the first quarter of the 2016/17 Fiscal Year (FY17), Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB) booked business and laid the groundwork for a successful year. “The shows we attend in the summer and fall generate leads that our sales team secures during the remainder of the year,” says FACVB President & CEO John Meroski.  “In addition to a busy travel season, the team closed some significant business this quarter.”

Fred “The Hammer” Williamson To Appear at Fayetteville Comic Con

Fayetteville, NC – Football player turned movie and television star Fred “The Hammer” Williamson is the latest addition to the line-up of special guests to appear at Fayetteville Comic Con (FCC). After playing professional football in the 1960’s, Williamson went on to star in dozens of movies, including “Starsky and Hutch,” “From Dusk ‘til Dawn” and “Original Gangstas.”
