Cumberland County, NC-- In FY 2014/15, the Fayetteville Area Convention and Visitors Bureau (FACVB) secured 131 meetings, sports tournaments, reunions and group visits for future business in Cumberland County.  These bookings represent nearly 20,000 room nights at area hotels and a direct economic impact of $4.9 million.

Blogger Tour Generates Publicity for Cumberland County

Greater Fayetteville, NC – The Fayetteville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (FACVB)  hosted four regional military “mom” bloggers for a familiarization tour of greater Fayetteville April 24-25.   The bloggers were active on social media throughout the visit – they tweeted, sent messageson Instagram, they “vlogged” and shared Facebook messages that cumulatively garnered 7.2 million impressions for Fayetteville and Cumberland County.   To date, eight  blog posts have been written, and more are planned. The hashtag for the tour was  #FayTour15.
