To position Cumberland County as a destination for meetings, tournaments, and individual travel.

Mission:
To position the Fayetteville area as a tournament destination.

Objectives:

• 1. Provide leadership to attract and support significant sports events and activities to the area thereby increasing revenues to the community.


• 2. Encourage positive regional name recognition and the promotion of existing sports teams, facilities and attraction of sporting events.
  
  
• 3. Strengthen youth outreach programs through athletic scholarships, access to athletic and recreational facilities and opportunities to view sporting events.


• 4. Recognize and celebrate the sports heritage of the Sandhills by maintaining a relationship with the Fayetteville Sports club and its Sports Hall of Fame.


• 5. Serve as a clearing-house of information on local, regional and national sports for news media and the community at large.


• 6. Collaborate with other civic organizations to coordinate efforts to promote Cumberland County as a sports destination.
