Spring Lake

Spring Lake shares our love of freedom, which makes it a great base camp for families, visitors and businesses alike. Not to mention there is lot of things to do around here. Did you know Spring Lake has a championship golf course designed by Davis Love III? It was rated 4.5 stars by Golf Digest, which puts it up against some of the finest courses in the country. Not to mention there are 17 other golf courses in Cumberland County.

While you’re here, you might want to check out the Sandhills Farmers’ Market on Chapel Hill Road. You can buy fresh produce, flowers and herbs, straight from the hard-working people who grow it. Plus, you can learn about old home remedies that you can still use – turpentine, poke salad and pine top tea. It’s open every Saturday from 9am until 2pm. There’s even free kids activities second Saturday of each month.

Spring Lake is also a perfect launching point to Fort Bragg, which is the largest Army installation in the county, hosting over 45,000 military personnel. It’s also proud to be the home of the revered 82nd Airborne Division and the famed Golden Knights parachute team. Here, visitors can explore one of the many military-themed Cultural Heritage Trails available on our website.

If you’ve never tried shooting Clay Targets, you definitely need to try it. For there’s few things as satisfying as watching clay targets explode when you shoot them. At the Spring Lake Clay Target Center, you can practice your aim – or try to develop a new one.

For a little change of pace, there’s the Lower Little River, which runs its way through Spring Lake. Bring your kayak or canoe and enjoy rippling waters, snow white sand and natures’ songs as you float through the woods. Spring Lake shares our love of freedom, which makes it a great base camp for families, visitors and businesses alike.
