Fayetteville PT (Physical Training)

North Carolina’s TV meteorologists will tell you Fayetteville’s a hot spot. And we don’t mean for the Internet, either. Fayetteville’s known for being a hot spot. Ask any soldier or any weatherman.

Day One

Since you’ve been sitting awhile, step off the coach mid-afternoon for a mid-afternoon workout. Aerobics, sauna, weights, treadmill. Or how ‘bout a beginner lesson on a skateboard at Mega Skate Plaza, one of the largest indoor skateboard park in the United States.

Board your coach, check in at the hotel and go get dinner. Afterwards, how well do you keep your ball in the lane? Bowling may not make you sweat, but it’s plenty of fun!

Tonight, dream about speed and physical training.

Day Two

Start your morning with a run or walk at the hotel. After breakfast, meet Master David Chin, Tai Chi expert who will show you how to stretch, breathe and relax your muscles. Heart specialists recommend Tai Chi for runners and other athletes.

Slack. Belay. Knots. Friction brakes. Yes, you’re going to climb a route. Once you get past “Stomach This” then you’re on to the “Down Under.” The Climbing Place, the largest indoor climbing wall on the East Coast, has a full range – with facilities, gear and instruction suitable for beginners and experienced climbers. Isn’t it a good thing you stretched your muscles this morning?

Back aboard the coach, you’re going to join the soldiers at Fort Bragg for lunch. You’ll fit in well at the Mess Hall. They’ll be happy to share with you their workout routine!

After lunch, take a hike at Smith Lake. Yes, most of the time you’ll be in the shade, enjoying nature, a cool breeze and some brand new scenery. Then – splash! Right in the lake! Spend the afternoon swimming, staying cool and having a great time!

Doesn’t food taste better when served outside? Enjoy your picnic!

Back at the hotel, you’ll shower and change for an evening on the town! We suggest starting downtown and working your way in most any direction for nightlife. Fayetteville rocks!

Day Three

Start your morning with a run or walk on the All American Trail or the Cape Fear River Trail, have breakfast and board the coach. Feel a little limber today?
