Experience the moving history of the creation and history of the airborne and special operations units of the U.S. army at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum. Two to three hours.
Afternoon

Tour Fayetteville Independent Light Infantry Armory & Museum, home of two centuries of artifacts of the oldest military unit in the South. Browse downtown galleries and shops. Two to three hours.
Evening

Enjoy a live production at the Cape Fear Regional Theater or a film at the restored 1920's-era Cameo Theater.
Day Three
Fort Bragg
Morning

Depart for a driving tour of Fort Bragg, including JFK Hall of Heroes, Iron Mike Statue, Special Operations Memorial Plaza, JFK Memorial Chapel, Main Post Chapel and 82 nd Airborne Division Memorial Chapel. Two Hours.
Afternoon
After lunch at Fort Bragg Officers Club, visit the JFK Special Warfare Museum for a behind-the-scenes look at unconventional warfare. Tour the 82nd Airborne Division War Memorial Museum and outdoor aircraft displays. Observe actual airborne training at Sicily Jump Zone. Four Hours.
Evening
Extend your visit with dinner at McKellar's Lodge on the northern boundary of Fort Bragg or return to Fayetteville for dinner and an evening at the theater.
Day Four
After hotel check-out, learn about the history of Southeastern North Carolina from Indian culture to the 19th century. The Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex includes museum galleries, the beautifully-restored 1897 Poe House and the remains of the Fayetteville arsenal, which General Sherman burned during his infamous march through the south in March of 1865. Two Hours.
