Adult Field Day is an annual funding event for Our P.L.A.C.E. Our P.L.A.C.E is a cultural art based non-profit organization founded on April 29, 2015, in Fayetteville, North Carolina by Eean Tyson and Sherris Johnson. Our Mission is to provide opportunity, education, funding and resources to artist to impact society. We will use the arts as a medium to educate our youth and to serve the community. The funding will support community service, the 2019 Southern Fried Poetry Slam, operational costs and future projects.

We are raising money to fund our organization and to support our projects and events.         

  • The Marquis Slam - Southern Fried Poetry Slam & National Poetry Slam representatives - IWPS and WOWPS representative 
  • Hosting the 2019 Southern Fried Poetry Slam
  • Artist Workshops
  • Cultural Arts Scholarship
  • Community Outreach

There will be 40 teams of 4 to 5 individuals competing in 10 exciting Field Day events for a trophy and bragging rights. Come out and enjoy an assortment of vendors, and food trucks. A great mix of music will play all day and the night will conclude with a concert featuring local artist and headlined by G. Yamazawa!!! There will even be fun activities for the kids!

Adult Field Day will bring people from all across the country to unite communities through activities, food, fun and music.

Schedule of Events

8 - 10 a.m Registration (Coffee/Donuts)
10:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. Field Day Events
4 - 5 p.m. Announcement of winner
Trophy Presentation
Each event has a 25 minute clock
5:15 - 7 p.m. Four opening acts on the main stage.
