  • Overview

    Fayetteville State University created this exhibit as part of its 150th anniversary celebration. Originally displayed at the university, the travelling exhibit will now run through May 27th at the Museum of the Cape Fear. The multi-media exhibit features photographs, panels and video interviews that tell the story of the university’s founding. Deeds Not Words takes viewers on a trip back in time to explore what life was like for Fayetteville’s African American community in 1867.
