The Museum of the Cape Fear Historical Complex invites all residents, churches, and businesses in Cumberland County to join in celebrating Armistice Day as a part of Heroes Homecoming VI. Armistice Day recognizes the day that brought a cessation of fighting during World War I. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, locals are encouraged to ring a bell 11 times at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month (November 11, 2018 at 11:00 a.m.), in recognition of the anniversary.
This event is one of many occurring all over Cumberland County as a part of Heroes Homecoming VI. For more information on this annual celebration and all the other HH6 events being planned, refer to @HeroesHomecoming.
