Ribbon Walk for Cancer 2020

  • Overview

The annual Ribbon Walk for Cancer is a signature fundraising event of Cape Fear Valley Health Foundation. Since 2006, funds raised through the Ribbon Walk have helped cancer patients in need receiving treatment at Cape Fear Valley Cancer Centers in our region. Funds raised support mammography outreach, gas and wig vouchers, medication assistance, emergency rent and utility assistance and therapeutic programs.

The event takes place at Festival Park in Downtown Fayetteville on April 18, 2020. Opening ceremonies will start at 8:45, with special recognition of cancer survivors during our 'kick-off' Survivor Lap.

Participants can walk our designated 1 Mile or 5k route through beautiful downtown Fayetteville as an individua, but are encouraged to participate as a family or team. This walk is not timed. Four legged supporters are not allowed in Festival Park, but may walk the route leashed. We are a family friendly event.

Participants registered prior to race day will receive a commemorative Ribbon Walk T-Shirt (race day registrants - while supplies last).

Survivors registered prior to April 1 will receive a special invitation to a free survivor only reception event.

Team Awards will be given on the day of the race for: Best Dressed 'Spirit of Survivorship' and 'Most Funds Raised'
