For nearly twenty-years, residents of the greater Stedman/Fayetteville area have enjoyed relaxing during a wholesome, family-friendly evening under the stars at the annual pre 4th of July Stedman Fireworks Festival. It is one of the largest community events of the year.
Hosted on the thirty-acre campus of Stedman PH Church, thousands of area citizens bring their lawn chairs and blankets to an evening of live music concerts, seasoned by the smells of a variety of food vendors making available for purchase everything from burgers, BBQ, and pizza to funnel cakes, cotton candy, snowcones, shaved Italian ice, and more. In addition, freshly picked watermelon and cantaloupe slices, courtesy of local favorite Bunce Farms, are free while supplies last.
Families with children enjoy inflatable bouncies, rock-climbing walls, and free face-painting kiosks. Across the festival, random corn-hole tournaments, frisbee tossing, and pick-up games of tag football can often be seen. As dusk gives way to dark, the night sky lights up to the sights and sounds of a professionally orchestrated fireworks show.
