Overview
Enjoy the rich history of the Tar Heel State, including learning about Native Americans, European settlements, slavery, plank roads, steamboating, the Civil War and more. In addition to permanent exhibitions and a changing gallery, exhibits on naval stores, early 19th Century domestic life, transportation, and folk potters are featured. Other attractions include Arsenal Park, the remnants of the Fayetteville Arsenal, and the restored Victorian residence of E.A. Poe. -
