Parks and Trails-Cape Fear River Trail

  • Overview

Parks and Recreation services and amenities are constantly evolving to meet the needs of our community. Fayetteville-Cumberland Parks and Recreation (FCPR) is pleased to be able to offer the ability to expand our current facilities for the growing needs of tournament organizers and participants. FCPR has partnered over the years with several sports groups to bring marathons and trail running to Fayetteville and Cumberland County. Tournament directors have their choice of play at or all of the numerous competition playing fields; making Cumberland County the ideal location to host your next tournament! The trail is a 10-foot wide paved path for walkers, joggers, bicyclists and others utilizing non-motorized transportation. It winds for nearly 5.3 miles, one-way, through a beautiful blend of trees, plants, and wildlife with spectacular views of the river. The terrain can be flat or slightly hilly.
