Stop 10: Martin Luther King, Jr. Park

  • Overview

    Enjoy a picnic pavilion and open space as the beginnings for the 13 acres of land commemorating the life of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. An impressive sculpture of Dr. King reigns high over the park. Plans include a fountain, lighted spire, gardens, and walking trail.

    Hours: Daily, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Open to the public.

    Next Stop: Continue on Blue Street. Make a left onto Murchison Road and follow all the way into Spring Lake. Murchison Road will merge with Bragg Blvd in Spring Lake. Continue on Bragg Blvd. Make a right onto Chapel Hill Road.
