The John E. Pechmann Fishing Education Center was built in 2007 and is operated by the NC Wildlife Resources Commission. At 4800 square feet the Pechmann Center is the only fishing education center of its kind in the state. The Center's mission is to educate the public on aquatic habitat conversation through interactive fishing programs and clinics. The center offers programs, clinics, exhibits, and public fishing events through out the entire year.
