Spectator Sports

Cumberland County has a long list of exciting ways to take in a sports game, such as Fayetteville Marksmen ice hockey or Cape Fear Heroes arena football. The Fayetteville Roller Derby teams play from March through November at the Crown Complex, and the Fayetteville SwampDogs, our collegiate summer baseball team, plays at J.P. Riddle Stadium. In spring 2019, we anticipate a new stadium, opening in downtown Fayetteville, to host the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, a Houston Astros minor-league team.
